Santa Marta Whitestart: El Dorado
Situated in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and just two hours from the city of Santa Marta in northern Colombia, this new reserve is the holy grail for birding in the Neotropics. El Dorado contains the highest concentration of endemic birds on the continent and its huge elevational range from 900 to 2600 meters provides excellent birding conditions to see over 400 bird species. The reserve has outstanding accommodation and facilities for visitors in the heart of the reserve. |
