Other notes: A single female trapped along the broemliad trail. A rare visit by the endemic which usually inhabits higher elevations.

Other notes: A adult flushed from a roadside stream in the mid valley at dusk. Rare but perhaps overlooked in the Sierra Nevada

Other notes: A recently fledged juvenile roosting below the road. First record for the reserve, reported still present the following day.

Other notes: This Colombian endemic can be seen coming to the feeders at Cerulea along with Short-tailed Emerald

Bird species: Coppery Emerald
Other notes: A single bird was found building a nest in late December and several individuals were seen in late March. All were present in the along the drier/scrubby areas of road above Minca.

Other notes: A single bird found roosting fairly high in a tree was part of a small fall of migrants that included Sora, Olive Sided Flycatcher, Black-and-White Warbler, American Redstart and sevral Tennesse Warblers

Other notes: Seen very well near the cabins shortly after dark. White-throated Screech Owl also calling here.

Other notes: A single confiding individual seen perched in the forest on two occasion over a week. Black Hawk Eagle is also frequently seen at this fantastic reserve

Other notes: A single male seen well but briefly along a trail on the other side of the river. (It took six days walking the trails to get this siting despite that fact that 4 imm males were seen the day before I arrived).
